Today very shag from yesterday's camp. But then I still have to go for my SPA community service. Sob sob. Got my Dad to give me a lift to Touch Community Theatre at Bukit Merah Central.

Reached the theatre, as usual, TOO EARLY!! Was wandering around when I saw three guys pushing what appeared to be multimedia equipment towards a side door to the theatre. One of them was Hai Long, a fellow SMU freshie volunteer from Vietnam, Aaron, the Touch Youth Service overseer and another guy I recognized from the booth at SMU where I signed up for this.

Anyway, helped them to move the stuff in. Then met 2 more freshies, Andy and Rachel. Me, Hai Long and Rachel then went on to scare him with SMU camp horror stories. Haha. All of us had been through the first run that ended yesterday. His was still to come the following week. The second run.

Anyway, after that, Hyen Ying (met her at NDP Ushering, spelt her name as Hsien Ying in an earlier entry) and another girl called Clarissa came in together. All of us just hung out together until Aaron came in. We then proceeded to play some games to "orientate" us.

After that, he handed us the script for the 3 short drama skits, entitled "Chatroom Dangers", "Internet Porn" and "Game Addiction" repectively. Did some play reading, then exercises on character exploration. I took on the job of doing the drawings of the characters. Haha. They kept commenting that they looked like characters from "Volcano High", whatever that is.

After that, got introduced to the sound equipment, which was handled by Hai Long, Clarissa and me. Setting up the speakers was the most difficult, cos they're huge! Two people had to carry one speaker, while a third would lower the stand sideways to slide the tip into the hole at its bottom. Then everyone would struggle to shift the stand, with the speaker at the top, upright.

Then there's the headache induced by the cables. Had to uncoil and plug in everything.

The worst was the sound box, this stand with many knobs to tune the speakers and control volume. Me and Clarissa left that to Hai Long. He had done all of this before.

After that, the rest, who were acting, were assigned roles. Then the acting began.

Finished everything at around 5pm. Packed up all the audio equipment before pushing the lot back to the Touch Office, located in a building nearby. Dumped it all in a small, cramped room the Touch people dubbed "The Batcave".

Then went home. Gah still got NDP tomorrow. Dying... >o<
