Happy birthday Clarice!

Met up with Jack, Clarice, Jie Ying and Liyan today to celebrate Clarice's birthday. It was a simple but relaxing affair. Just a dinner at Aji-Tei as well as some chocolate cake.


The food was pretty good, with generous portions. We ate, had the birthday cake (which was welcomed with large amounts of singing and picture-taking), then sat about chatting for a while.

The main problem after that was how to bring home the excess cake (they threw away the box). The result was that we had to somehow slice up the left-overs and stuff them into 2 plastic containers (the rectangular kind) provided by the restaurant. There was plenty enough drama as Liyan, Jie Ying and Clarice manoevred the slices precariously into the boxes. There were a few times when the cake threatened to leap off the knife and onto the table. XD After that, we paid the bill and left.

School's starting soon, and even though we may be taking different courses, I still hope to meet them in the corridors once term begins.
