Outside another yellow moon
Has punched a hole in the night time mist
I climb through the window and down to the street
I'm shining like a new dime
The downtown trains are full
Full of all them brooklyn girls
They try so hard to break out of their little worlds
You wave your hand and they scatter like crows
They have nothing that'll ever capture your heart
They're just thorns without the rose
Be careful of them in the dark
Oh if i was the one you chose to be your only one
Oh baby can't you hear me now, can't you hear me now
Will i see you tonight on a downtown train
Every night, every night its just the same
On a downtown train

-Rod Stewart, Downtown Train
Very nice song. Its the type tt tells a story if u care to listen close enough. I think if Im not wrong, it's abt 2 ppl eloping. Haha. Listened to it this morning when I chanced upon my Dad's Rod Stewart cd. I always like to listen to his stuff. The last time I stole his 2 kitaro cds, I prayed tt he would have forgotten tt I took them. Too bad he remembered. Damn. :)
Anywayz, today was a relaxing day at home for me. Did some homework, watched tv, read a little. Im currently reading a book entitled "On a Clear Day". It's abt this girl growing up in 1950s Ireland. Northern Ireland, mind you. I guessed tt from the way the writer mentioned the parades of the Battle of Boyne. There's nothing much abt the unrest and Protestant-Catholic conflict, yet. But then again its only the 1950s. She's probably a Protestant though, from the way she watches the parades instead of loathing them.
Nothing much else to write. Nothing much happened today. Haha... ^_^
Glad to see from everyone's blogs tt they're relaxing. Party on, ppl !! Happy to know some ppl out there actually read my blogs. *smiles* Im just so touched...
Gotta go. Bye...
